Tips to create a Successful Design!

There are several ways to create a successful piece. A good design should be able to success in Business to business communication. It should fulfil one main criteria, that is to have communicate a message and produced a response, whether emotional or physical. Below are the key principles that we should consider when creating marketing materials to make sure that the communication is noticed.

  1. Creative Brief
    A creative brief is the most important part of the creative process. Target market’s behaviour and how you want them to think about your brand or products should be including in the brief. The direction needs to be clear to give a benchmark for judging the creative concepts.
  2. Think of unusual way
    If you are selling a product that has many competitors, you should think of a ways to say the same thing but in the unusual way.
  3. Play with a bit of humour
    People are always appreciating a bit of humour. It can be in terms of images or copy so that it can be easily remember thus producing an effective message.
  4. Don’t underestimate your audience
    They are intelligent and knowledgeable on their profession.
  5. Headlines and image
    Headlines and image are both important. Make sure that the copy is readable and interesting, and both headlines and image strengthens the concept.

    Use unusual size and format so that the designer produce a greater effect and create impact. Don’t always use a standard size like A4, A3, A2 or A1 because it is just too dull.
  8. Plan things ahead
    This is to reduce wastage and expensive reprint. Plan ahead for the changes of contact details like address, phone, postal code, price ..etc.
  9. Keep idea simple
    Complex idea will required expensive production. Remember to keep idea simple because viewer will remember simple ideas for years.
